Sorry... I couldn't resist.

So the weather is finally starting to look up and if you haven’t thought about it already, then it’s time to start prepping your vehicle for the warmer months ahead. Your car took a beating over winter. Freezing temperatures, mud, salt and bad weather all take their toll on your paintwork and interior.

It’s standard practice to reach for the chammy, bucket and vacuum around this time of the year to bring some life back into your vehicle, but there are some key steps to the vehicle spring clean that most people neglect that are really easy to address. Are you guilty of these top 5 Spring Cleaning sins?

More after the jump...

Clean Between the Seats

Let’s face it, most of the time it’s out of sight out of mind when it comes to stray crumbs and debris down the back of seats and in those hard to reach places of your vehicle but built-up dirt and grime accelerates wear and tear on fabric. Take the opportunity to vacuum in the creases between seats and all those other places dirt may be lurking.

Why not replace your floor mats whilst you’re at it? They will probably be looking worse for wear around this time of year. Granville supply a range of Kraco floor mats specially packaged just for us to suit all budgets and vehicle types.

Look After Your Windows

It’s surprisingly easy to neglect your windows when doing your spring clean. A quick once over with the bucket and sponge and job done, right? Think about changing your windscreen wipers and topping up your screenwash. The chances are they could do with replacing after heavy use over the winter months.

We also recommend Rain-X 2in1 Glass Cleaner and Rain Repellent to get windows sparkling clean in one easy step, whilst enhancing visibility when driving through those April Showers.

Check your Tyres!

Tyres take a beating in the winter months so make sure that you check they are correctly inflated and the tread depth is over 1.6mm.

Assuming your tyres are in good condition, why not treat them to a coat of Turtle Wax Wet ‘n’ Black? It’s super easy to apply and requires no wiping or buffering to achieve a long lasting shine.

Top-Up your Fluid

As always check your oil and water levels, but don’t forget about the transmission fluid and coolant too. If in doubt, give Granville’s Technical Advice line a call for advice about which fluids and lubricants are best for your vehicle.

Your Fuel System Needs Cleaning Too!

Looking after the fuel system can significantly improve fuel efficiency and reduce costly service bills. The 10k Boost range has a wide variety of additives which will give your fuel system a good clean out.
