My pick of the week is the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado.

First rolling off production lines in 1953, the Cadillac Eldorado was intended as a limited production concept car and a sub-series of the Cadillac Series 62 coming to market at a whopping $7750.

More after the jump...

1959 saw a design rethink across most of Cadillac's ranges. The jewel grille was extended to the full width of the vehicle and double headlamps under the front fenders became standard across the range. The tailfins, which had been introduced in the 1955 model became thinner and larger and were accented by two bullet-shaped brake lights. The Eldorado came with all the bells and whistles including air suspension, power brakes and windows, heater and ventilation system with the option of air conditioning, remote control trunk release and automatic headlight dimmer.

The Eldorado was available in 20 colours and in two models, the 2-door Seville hardtop and the 2-door Biarritz convertible, and would set you back at approximately $7401.
